ImpaQt is an EU-funded LIFE project testing innovative approaches for climate-resilient and socially sustainable district development. Its integrated transformation model combines blue-green infrastructure, mobility, social innovation and participatory processes. Living labs in our partner cities Melk and Berlin enable collaborative development and testing of measures with residents, public authorities and experts.
One of the key elements of the project is the development of new financing models, including impact bonds, that blend public and private financial resources. In Melk, a new green space that enhances urban resilience will be established with the creation of a Climate Forest in the historic centre. Superwien contributes its expertise in urban development and collaborative planning within the project consortium.

ImpaQt ist ein EU-gefördertes LIFE Projekt, das innovative Ansätze für klimaresiliente und sozial nachhaltige Quartiersentwicklung erprobt. Im Mittelpunkt steht ein integrierter Transformationsansatz, der grün-blaue Infrastruktur, Mobilität, soziale Innovation und partizipative Prozesse verbindet. In Reallaboren in unseren Partnerstädten Melk und Berlin werden Maßnahmen gemeinsam mit Bewohner*innen, Verwaltung und Fachakteur*innen entwickelt und getestet.
Im Zentrum des Projekts steht die Entwicklung neuer Finanzierungsmodelle wie Impact Bonds, die öffentliche und private Mittel flexibel kombinieren. Zusätzlich entsteht in Melk ein Klimawald im historischen Stadtkern, der einen neuen Grünraum schafft und die städtische Resilienz stärkt.
