The development areas around Vienna’s Hauptbahnhof have spawned a whole new neighborhood. And the area of „Neues Landgut“ will follow. The field with the size of 9 hectare is owned as yet by ÖBB. In the course of the relocation of railway facilities to new locations, “Neues Landgut” will be reused and will become new diverse functions: A new campus for 1,100 pupils; 1,500 housing units, thereof 51 % social housing, a 1,2 ha large central park and an active ground-floor zone will be part of the new neighborhood.
